The little toy sword that she finds under her bed to play fight with her make shift monster. I have made this out of recycled cardboard.

Instead of making the make-shift monster out of random items in her room such as; a chair, books, toys etc… I decided to make it out of small storage cardboard boxes instead. This way she can easily draw on a monster and it changes the story a bit and gives it more meaning in the sense that she has moved into a new place and is ready for a new adventure and is too excited to sleep as she is eager to explore.

I have put labels of different areas of the house on the boxes too, whilst drawing on the other side of them a monster for her to play with. This is a quick indication and throwback to our childhood before technology, because children often loved to play with boxes as they could imagine them being anything and everything. making them into all sorts of random creations; a rocket or space ship, a boat, a vehicle or in this case, a terrifying monster.

I have also made some books to place on top of her dresser to add more to her room. More so for when the actual monster comes into the film, it will be able to ruin or destruct more of the room and make more of a mess. Thus making its presence more known.
