The puppet for my main character is now complete.

COSTUME:

For the costume i was originally going to use a much rougher piece of fabric, however it proved to be too difficult to sew into clothing for the puppet and kept unravelling, thus why i opted for a different, softer material – a fitted bed sheet. I also had issues with the sewing machine, therefore had to sew everything by hand, which in turn took a while to complete.

The costume for this character is a pair of PJs that I had made with a light blue fitted bed sheet. I decided to leave it as one of those buttoned up PJs incase any of the limbs fall off or break apart, it would be easy to repair without damaging any other part of the puppet.

HAIR

For the hair I had unwinded some black wool and attached each piece bit by bit using strong PVA glue.

FACE

The eyes and mouth will be done using a library so that I am able to control her emotions, also by using eyelids and eyebrows.

HANDS

I have finally attached the hands with a glue gun and have painted them to match the tone of the characters felt I used.

FEET

For the feet I used a huge blob of miliput to help balance the character.
